Fourth of July celebrations are in full swing and, to be honest, I’m still tweaking my pre-fireworks menu. I bought everything I need to make a couple of these hearty grain salads, corn for grilled corn on the cob (or should I make roasted corn with butter and herbs?), and, of course, meat. I’m thinking a tasty sauce is in order to pull the whole thing together. These easy BBQ sauce recipes should do the trick and, given how quick I can whip them up using mostly pantry staples, I have plenty of time. You and me both?

Easy BBQ sauce recipes: BOOM sauce | Self Proclaimed Foodie

As long as I have a side of fresh, cooling salad, I’m not scared of some spice on my barbecue. As in, put this one out of reach of little ones. You probably have most of the ingredients you need for this recipe in your pantry already, and if you don’t want to run to the store for the specialty Mexican habanero sauce—or just don’t want so much heat—substitute whatever hot sauce you have on hand.

Easy BBQ sauce recipes: Espresso Barbecue Sauce by Austin's Franklin Barbecue | Cookbooks 365

Franklin Barbecue in Austin, Texas has become legendary as one of the country’s best BBQ joints. If you don’t have time to make the drive (or maybe the flight?) or stand in their also-legendary line, try making either their classic Franklin Barbecue sauce or Espresso Barbecue Sauce instead. The good women at Cookbooks 365 share both recipes and for that we are eternally grateful. The ingredient lists for both sauces are simple and, let me tell you, the key is to let the sauces simmer long enough for the flavors to meld together. So good.
